Unit 5 - Live Music - Go Go Penguins

This is a shoot I did at The Grand in Clitheroe with the band Go Go Penguins. I think the final photographs didn't turn out great, mainly because of the harshness and over exposure of the purple lighting. The purple lighting makes the musicians look out of focus and fuzzy because it's that bright.
The shoot helped me learn and practice shooting live music more, because it's not something I'd done a lot at this point. It helped me get more used to the fast pace of the shooting, aswell as concentrating more on my composition ( which is massively different to previous shoots due to being about 3 feet lower than the musicians).
I had the usual problems with this shoot, mainly having to use a high ISO causing graininess, and a slow shutter speed causing blurriness when the musicians moved. This is because my lenses largest aperture of f5.6 (when shooting at a 55mm focal length or higher), which doesn't allow enough light on the sensor to use appropriate ISO and shutter speed setting.
